Jesse Mollet, known as J Molley aka The Internet Boy, is ready to share his first debut project with the fans. The EP is titled Dreams Money Can Buy and will be released on 3 September 2017.

The rapper, singer and songwriter has enjoyed some success in the last several months, having been featured on some of this year’s hottest local hip-hop songs. Collaborations with the likes of DJ Capital on the song On Me featuring Bigstar Johnson and Gigi Lamayne, or the mega hit by DJ Speedsta featuring Frank Casino and Zoocci Coke Dope titled I Don’t Know, have really established Molley as the artist to look out for in the near future.

After months in the studio, Molley is confident and ready to offer his project to the world.

The songs come from a personal place and the stories have been crafted in such a way that listeners can easily digest the music. Molley said the songs are inspired by everyday life experiences, the good and the bad.

“The project is every thought provoking conversation I’ve had, it’s all the experiences that were negative but ultimately made me a better person today. It’s the rawest form of my thoughts and what goes on in my head, I could make a song based on a conversation I’d have with someone,” he explained.

Molley said it was a therapeutic experience writing and recording the songs for the EP.

“Making music is a way of letting everything out. Nothing makes us lonelier than our secrets, so I really make it a point to get it out.”

Music consumers like it when they can easily relate to their favourite artists’ stories, and for him, Molley said it’s always much easier to write from real life personal experiences because it is closer to home.

“It’s easy to write when you can relate to something. Everything I sing and rap about is nothing but the truth.”

The project was produced mainly by Goofy and the legendary Ganja Beats. It also features guest appearances by Ricco and hip-hop heavy weight pH from RawX.

“This project is dark, futuristic, expensive and cold. It is real, raw and honest. It is the new wave.”
