No festive flab this year

Don't let the holiday flab stay.

Holidays are underway and after that, it will be time to go back to work or school.

The last thing we want to hear from our friends or co-workers is “Wow, you’ve gained a few!” In our minds, we know that they might just be right.

So, the question is how do we get rid of festive flab?

We all hate feeling bloated or lethargic or hung-over – but cheer up, there is help on the way to combat those feelings.

Santie de Beer, a personal trainer at Virgin Active gives us some advice on festive flab and how to prevent it.

Be smart and remember …

  • Parties are calorie hotspots. Don’t go there hungry, choose your alcohol properly and hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!
  • Be active. Whether it is a walk, a 30-minute workout or dancing till your feet hurt – get moving!

Yes, Christmas and New Year is time for celebration with plenty good food! Interact with the people around you rather.

Save the best dish for last and be totally awesome working out the next day.
